Abellio Albariño 2024

Abellio Albariño comes from Rías Baixas, on the Atlantic coast of north-west Spain.

Rías Baixas takes its name from the flooded river valleys that cut into the Galician coast, and the climate is cool, wet and maritime, nothing like the Spain of popular imagination. Albariño is trained high on granite pergolas to keep the bunches off the damp ground and allow air to circulate. The wine is fermented cool and bottled without oak, with the saline edge the sea air gives it.

Serve at 10 degrees with shellfish, grilled fish or a salad. Drink within four years.
