Ahi Ka Blackmore Vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a single-vineyard white from the region that put New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc on the map.

Long sunny days and cool nights at the north-eastern tip of the South Island let the grapes ripen slowly and keep their acidity, which gives the region's mix of intensity and freshness. Most vineyards are on the free-draining alluvial soils of the Wairau Valley, or in the cooler Southern Valleys and Awatere. This one is bottled on its own to show a single site. The usual approach is a cool ferment in stainless steel and early bottling to keep the fruit bright.

Crisp and zesty. Serve well chilled at 7–9°C with oysters, salads, goat's cheese or Thai-style dishes, and drink it young while it's at its freshest.
