Description

Alain Jaume Grand Veneur Côtes du Rhône is a Grenache-led red from the southern Rhône.

Côtes du Rhône is the broad appellation covering the valley from Vienne to Avignon, and in the south it means Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre grown on stony, sun-baked ground. Domaine Grand Veneur is the Jaume family's home estate at Orange, where they have grown vines since 1826 and farm organically. The wine is matured in concrete and old oak rather than new barrels.

Serve at 16 degrees with grilled meats, daube or ratatouille. Drink over the next six years.
