Alain Jaume Domaine Du Clos De Sixte Lirac 2022

Alain Jaume Clos de Sixte is a Lirac, from the right bank of the Rhône opposite Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Lirac sits across the river from Châteauneuf on similar stony terraces, and has long been the better-value neighbour: the same Grenache-led blends on comparable ground without the famous name. The Jaume family bought the Clos de Sixte estate and farms it organically. Maturation is in large oak and concrete.

Serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, game or a rich stew. It develops over a decade.
