Alain Jaume Le Miocène Blanc Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2024

Alain Jaume Le Miocène Blanc is a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a rarity in a red appellation.

White accounts for only a small share of Châteauneuf, made from Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Bourboulenc on the sandier, marl-based parcels rather than the stony plateau. The name refers to the Miocene-era soils beneath the vineyard. The Jaume family has grown vines at Orange since 1826 and farms organically.

Serve at 11 degrees with roast poultry, rich fish or a washed-rind cheese. It develops over eight years.
