Alfredo Maestro A Dos Tiempos 2021

A Dos Tiempos is an equal blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha from Alfredo Maestro's vineyards in Navalcarnero, a lesser-known pocket of Madrid's wine country at 671 metres on sandy, decomposed granite soils.

Alfredo Maestro is a leading figure in Spain's natural wine movement, a self-taught winemaker based in Peñafiel who works across several regions of Castilla and Madrid with a minimal-intervention approach in both vineyard and cellar. A Dos Tiempos - "in two times" - is designed as an all-terrain red, light on its feet with enough structure to reward two to five years in the cellar.

Versatile with red meats, seafood rice and pil pil-style dishes; serve at around 15-16 degrees.
