Alkoomi Family Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Alkoomi Family Collection Cabernet Sauvignon is grown at Frankland River in the Great Southern.

The Great Southern is the largest wine region in Australia by area and the most southerly in Western Australia, which gives Cabernet a long, slow ripening season and firm, leafy structure. Alkoomi's vineyard at Wingebellup was planted in 1971 by Merv and Judy Lange, the first in Frankland River, and the estate remains in family hands. Fermentation is in open vessels with maturation in French oak.

Serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or hard cheese. Drink over the next ten years.
