Alkoomi Icon Jarrah Shiraz 2022

Alkoomi Jarrah Shiraz is the estate's flagship red from its oldest Frankland River vines.

Jarrah, like Blackbutt, takes its name from a eucalypt growing on the family property at Wingebellup. The fruit comes from vines well over thirty years old and the wine is made in the traditional Australian way, in open fermenters. Frankland River gives Shiraz a peppery, savoury character that sets it apart from the warm-climate Australian style. Alkoomi was founded in 1971 and reached its fiftieth vintage in 2025.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with beef, game or a rich stew. It develops over fifteen years.
