Allegrini Valpolicella DOC 2025

Allegrini Valpolicella is a fresh, cherry-scented everyday red from a leading family producer in the hills above Verona.

Valpolicella lies between Lake Garda and Verona, a landscape of terraced hillsides and valleys running down from the Lessini mountains. The family behind this wine has worked vineyards around Fumane, in the historic Classico heart of the zone, for generations, and is best known for its Amarone and single-vineyard reds. This bottling is the youthful side of the story: Corvina Veronese and Rondinella picked and fermented without any drying of the grapes, and made to keep the fruit fresh and bright. Expect ruby colour with purple hints, lively cherry fruit and a touch of fresh herbs, with soft tannins.

Serve lightly cool, at around 14 to 16 degrees, to keep it lively. It suits a wide range of food: pizza, pasta with tomato sauces, salumi, risotto and grilled chicken. Enjoy it young while the fruit is at its freshest.
