Description

Altano Branco is a fresh, zesty dry white from Portugal's Douro Valley, made by the Symington family.

The Symingtons are best known for Port houses such as Graham's, Dow's and Warre's, and Altano is their range of dry Douro table wines. This white blends the local varieties Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, Moscatel Galego and Arinto, which are typically grown in the higher, cooler parts of the valley where grapes keep their natural acidity. The wine shows fresh tropical fruit aromas, zesty citrus and spice on the palate, and lively, well-integrated acidity that makes it a versatile everyday white.

Serve well chilled with grilled sardines, salt cod fritters, garlic prawns or a simple summer salad. Enjoy it young.
