Animus Distillery Bauble Macedon Dry Gin 50ml is a single-serve Christmas bauble of the distillery's benchmark dry gin.

Cream rises, and over the years this has settled in as one of the Australian gins other Australian gins are measured against. It was written as a homage to the great London Drys, then took on its own character once lemon myrtle and mountain pepperberry joined the juniper-led base, adding a subtle citrus edge and a piquant bite while lifting the aromatics considerably. Cinnamon, cardamom, angelica root, clove, coriander seed, sarsaparilla root, star anise, lemon, lime, turmeric and rosemary complete the list. The fresh botanicals come from the garden at Kyneton, picked on the day of distillation.

Juniper and sappy pine freshness carry a warm spice through a deep, smooth texture. One bauble is one drink: tonic, ice, a twist of lemon. If you would rather taste the gin properly, make it a very small, very cold Martini instead.
