Description
Villa Antinori Bianco Toscana IGT is a crisp Tuscan white whose story goes back to 1931.
Marchese Niccolò Antinori created the Villa Antinori label in 1928 for a Chianti Classico, and a white version followed in 1931, made then from the traditional Trebbiano. The label has barely changed since, but the blend has moved with the times: Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco now join Trebbiano Toscano, with a little Riesling Renano for lift. The grapes are picked variety by variety as each one ripens. After gentle pressing, the juice is chilled and settled naturally, then fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel and kept in steel until bottling, which keeps the wine fresh and fruit-driven.
Serve well chilled with antipasti, grilled calamari, a spring vegetable risotto or a light chicken dish. It is at its best within a couple of years of vintage.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
