Arnaud et Sophie Sirugue-Noëllat Vosne-Romanée Harmonie draws on a spread of parcels across the village to give a picture of the appellation as a whole.

Each block is picked and fermented apart, then assembled afterwards, which is how the cuvée came by its name. Cellar work is quiet, with long macerations, ageing in Burgundian barrels and a light touch on new wood. The family holds twelve hectares in the commune, among them Les Barreaux, which runs right up against Cros Parantoux.

Ruby with cherry-red lights, the nose turns on raspberry, strawberry and violet with a thread of spice, and the palate is silky and finely tannic with a mineral close at 13% alcohol. Fifteen to sixteen degrees is about right. Roast duck, guinea fowl or a wedge of Époisses will all do nicely.
