This village Vosne-Romanée comes from three parcels lying below the village itself, totalling 0.57 hectares.

Vosne-Romanée sits at the heart of the Côte de Nuits and is the most famous red wine commune in Burgundy, ringed by grand cru vineyards. The three sites behind this bottling are Aux Communes, Aux Saules and Bossières, on the flatter ground below the village where the soil is deeper and the wines are rounder and quicker to open than those from the slope above. Arnoux-Lachaux is a long-established Vosne domaine, and under Charles Lachaux the viticulture has shifted towards higher trellising and later picking, with gentler extraction and more whole-bunch fermentation in the cellar, producing aromatic wines with fine rather than heavy tannin.

Approachable from two or three years and good for a decade; serve at 16-18°C with roast duck, mushroom dishes or a soft cheese.
