Ashbrook Margaret River Shiraz 2019

Ashbrook Estate Shiraz is a medium-bodied Margaret River red from the family's Wilyabrup vineyard.

Shiraz is a minor variety in a region built on Cabernet and Chardonnay, but the maritime climate gives it a peppery, restrained character quite unlike the warm-climate Australian style. Ashbrook has farmed at Wilyabrup since the 1970s. The wine is fermented in small vessels and matured in French oak.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, beef or a mushroom ragù. Drink over the next eight years.
