Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir 375ml 2025

Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir in a 375ml half bottle is an easy, perfumed Martinborough Pinot for a smaller occasion.

This was one of the first wineries established in Martinborough, near the southern tip of New Zealand's North Island, and since the early 1980s it has built a reputation as one of the country's leading Pinot Noir producers. The region's long, dry autumns and strong winds produce small berries with fine, concentrated flavour. Crimson is the estate's earlier-drinking Pinot, made from younger vineyard sites. The 2025 is fresh and floral, with rose, bergamot tea and ginger alongside savoury, minty notes, supple tannins and a seam of pure fruit. The winery's French harvest interns called it 'glou-glou', meaning it disappears quickly.

The half bottle suits a dinner for two or a night when only a glass or two is needed. Serve at about 14 to 16 degrees with roast lamb, pork dumplings or a cheese board, and drink it young.
