Audrey Wilkinson Tempranillo 2024

Audrey Wilkinson Tempranillo is a Hunter Valley red made from the Spanish variety.

Tempranillo ripens early and holds acidity and structure without high alcohol, which makes it a sensible choice in a warm region with a short picking window. Australian growers have planted it widely over the past two decades. The estate's Pokolbin vineyards date from 1866. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured in seasoned oak, keeping the fruit and savoury tannin to the front.

Serve at 16 degrees with chorizo, paella or grilled lamb. Drink over the next six years.
