Description

Audrey Wilkinson Winemaker's Selection Tempranillo is a single-parcel bottling of the Spanish variety in the Hunter.

Tempranillo suits the Hunter's short, warm season, ripening early with good acidity and firm tannin, and the Winemaker's Selection takes the best of it with extra time in oak. The estate at Pokolbin has been producing since 1866. Fermentation is in small open vessels, with maturation in French and American oak.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, chorizo or a slow-cooked stew. Drink over the next eight years.
