Description

This regional Bourgogne Blanc is sourced almost entirely from vineyards in and around Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet.

Bachelet-Monnot works from Dezize-lès-Maranges, in the hills at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune, and the brothers have built their reputation on white wines from the Chassagne and Puligny side of the Côte. The fruit for this bottling comes from 1.3 hectares of twenty- to fifty-year-old vines in the Puligny area, spread over four parcels, together with a plot of young-vine Chassagne on very chalky ground. What lifts the wine above its appellation is less any single site than the combination of that fruit source, careful viticulture, a well-judged picking date and confident, hands-off winemaking in the cellar.

Drink over the next three to five years; serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, grilled fish or a Comté.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
