Balthasar Ress Rheingau Riesling Trocken 2025

Balthasar Ress Rheingau Riesling Trocken is a dry regional Riesling from a long-established family estate in Hattenheim.

The Ress family has made wine on the north bank of the Rhine since 1870, and Riesling accounts for the great majority of its plantings. Fruit for the regional wines comes from vineyards spread along the Rheingau, where the river turns west and the slopes face south, sheltered by the Taunus hills. Soils range from loess and loam to slate. The estate is a VDP member and has farmed organically for some years. Trocken means the wine is fermented dry, in the crisp, citrus-driven style the region is known for.

Best served well chilled. It is an easy match for oysters, sushi, Thai salads, grilled prawns or a simple plate of fish and chips. Made for drinking over the next few years while it is fresh.
