Description
Bannockburn Pinot Noir in 1.5-litre magnum comes from the earliest harvest the estate has recorded.
2025 came in earlier than any vintage in the estate’s books, and the wines have both generosity and structural precision. Parcels from vineyards planted between 1976 and 2007 — Olive Tree Hill, 10 Rows, Stuart Block, Ann’s Block and De La Terre — were picked by hand and wild-fermented separately with around 20 per cent whole bunch, then matured ten months on lees in French hogsheads and puncheons, a quarter of them new, before blending. Clonal material spans MV6 and the Dijon selections 114, 115 and 777. The magnum is there for the long game.
Clarity is the mark of the vintage. Red and dark cherry with savoury, earthy depth beneath, fine-grained tannin and a long push through the finish. Serve at 15 to 16 degrees. Duck, lamb rump, or a mushroom and barley braise.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
