Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2025

Bannockburn Pinot Noir is a Geelong Pinot Noir built from five estate blocks.

Clonal breadth is what holds this together: MV6 for depth and structure, with Dijon selections 114, 115 and 777 adding perfume and detail, spread across vineyards planted between 1976 and 2007 — Olive Tree Hill, 10 Rows, Stuart Block, Ann’s Block and De La Terre. Hand-picked parcels fermented wild and separately with about 20 per cent whole bunch, then sat ten months on lees in French hogsheads and puncheons, 25 per cent new, before blending. The 2025 harvest was the earliest on the estate’s books and gave wines with clarity and fine structure.

Red and dark cherry over savoury, earthy depth, with fine-grained tannin and a long drive through the finish that speaks clearly of site and season. Serve at 15 degrees. Duck breast, roast pork, or a mushroom and chestnut braise.
