Description
Bannockburn Serré Pinot Noir is the flagship red of this Geelong estate, drawn from what is believed to be the oldest high-density Pinot Noir planting in Australia.
The Serré block was planted in 1984 at close spacing on the Moorabool Valley's volcanic and limestone soils, and has been certified organic since 2021. Fruit is handpicked and fermented in open-top vessels with a portion of whole bunches layered through, then pressed after around twelve days on skins and matured in French oak.
Decant and serve at 16 degrees with duck, roast quail, mushroom risotto or a soft washed-rind cheese.
