Description

Battle of Bosworth Heretic is an organically grown McLaren Vale blend of Touriga Nacional, Mataro, Graciano and Shiraz, with the Iberian grapes taking the lead.

Most blends in the region start with Shiraz. This one flips that around and puts the Iberian varieties first: Touriga for perfume, Mataro for savoury depth and Graciano for acidity and colour, with Shiraz filling out the middle. It all comes from the family's organic vineyard at Willunga, where sea breezes cool the summer afternoons.

Juicy dark fruit and spice, finishing savoury. There's no need to decant, as it's drinking well now. Serve at 16–18°C with lamb kofta, pizza or anything off the barbecue.
