Battle of Bosworth Shiraz 2022

Battle of Bosworth Shiraz is a full-bodied, organically grown McLaren Vale red from the family's own vines at Willunga.

This is the region's signature grape and the backbone of the estate's reds. The vines grow in the southern foothills of the Vale, where the vines are farmed without herbicides by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith (look for the soursob weeds on the label). Oak maturation adds structure without covering up the fruit.

Ripe blackberry, plum and dark chocolate, held together by ripe tannins. It's drinking well now and will keep for several years in a good cellar. Serve at 16–18°C with barbecued steak, lamb shoulder or hard cheese.
