Description

Battle of Bosworth Shiraz is a generous, full-bodied McLaren Vale red, grown organically at Willunga.

Summer afternoons at Willunga are cooled by breezes off Gulf St Vincent. That's where the family grows the grape the region is best known for, on organically farmed estate vines. The wine spends time in oak, enough for structure while keeping the fruit in front. The name, if you're wondering, comes from the 1485 battle that ended the Wars of the Roses.

Think blackberry, plum and a little dark chocolate, with ripe tannins. Pour at 16–18°C with a barbecued steak, lamb shoulder or hard cheese. Enjoy it now or cellar it for several years.
