Bekkers McLaren Vale Grenache 2022

Bekkers McLaren Vale Grenache is a fragrant, spicy Grenache from a small producer focused on fine-wine texture.

McLaren Vale has some of the oldest and best Grenache plantings in the world, and the grape has enjoyed a real renaissance there as winemakers move toward fresher, more perfumed styles. The Bekkers, a viticulturist and winemaker couple, select parcels from across the region, looking for Indian spice notes of clove, cumin and star anise, along with fragrance and clarity of fruit. The result is pretty and aromatic, yet with enough depth and structure to age well.

Serve slightly below room temperature, around 15 to 16 degrees. It shines with Middle Eastern and North African dishes, such as lamb tagine or spiced chicken, and with roast pork or charcuterie.
