Description

Bekkers TOME Vol. 2 is a bright, fresh McLaren Vale red blend made for earlier drinking.

This is the more approachable companion to the producer's single-variety wines, bringing together Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache from McLaren Vale. The couple behind it, viticulturist Toby and winemaker Emmanuelle, apply the same focus on texture and freshness they give their top wines. It has a bright, dark crimson colour, with blackcurrant, cherry and violet aromas, and mulberry, blackberry and cassis on a medium-weight palate. Clove spice, a satiny texture and fresh acidity make it very food friendly.

Serve at around 16 degrees. This is an easy midweek red for pizza, burgers, lamb kofta or pasta with a meat sauce. Enjoy over the next few years.
