Bellvale Chardonnay 2025

Bellvale Chardonnay is an energetic, layered cool-climate Chardonnay from Gippsland in Victoria.

Gippsland is one of Victoria's most spread-out and least crowded wine regions, running east of Melbourne toward the coast. Its cool, maritime climate gives long, gentle ripening, which suits Burgundian grapes such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Bellvale is a small grower-producer working with its own vineyard there. This Chardonnay shows citrus and stone fruit with a touch of flinty reduction and subtle oak toast adding depth without taking over. The palate is generous yet poised, with good fruit intensity, bright acidity and a fine phenolic grip.

Serve chilled, around 8 to 10 degrees. It pairs well with grilled prawns, roast chicken, pan-fried flathead or a cheese soufflé. Drinks well now and over the next few years.
