Description

Benjamin Leroux Meursault is an estate wine from certified-organic, biodynamically managed vines, with the oldest parcel dating to 1944.

Meursault is the largest of the Côte de Beaune’s white villages and the one most associated with breadth and texture. Leroux’s village wine comes solely from his own vines at Moulin Landin, Les Criots, Bois de Blagny and Les Millerands, together with Clos du Village, a parcel he took on in 2017. Most of these sites lie lower in the village, where the soils give flesh, but the fruit from the higher white marls of Bois de Blagny brings drive and a salty, mineral backbone that keeps the whole in balance. All the parcels are certified organic and farmed biodynamically. Fermentation and maturation take place in 300-litre and 600-litre barrels, after which the wine is racked to foudre and stainless steel to finish its ageing.

Drinking well from release and worth eight to ten years. Serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, lobster or a creamy chicken and mushroom dish.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
