Black Cottage Pinot Gris 2025

Black Cottage Pinot Gris is a dry white from Marlborough at the top of New Zealand's South Island.

Pinot Gris suits Marlborough's cool nights and long autumns, giving a pear-scented, textural white with enough acidity to finish dry rather than broad. The Southern Valleys, with their heavier clay soils, hold more water than the Wairau gravels and tend to suit the variety. The wine is fermented cool with some lees contact for weight.

Serve at 10 degrees with pork, roast chicken or a soft cheese. Drink within three years.
