Blank Canvas Anthem Vineyard Central Otago Pinot Noir 2023

Blank Canvas Anthem Vineyard Central Otago Pinot Noir is a dark-fruited, single-site Pinot Noir from New Zealand's far south.

Schist soils, little rain and hot days followed by cold nights make Central Otago a dramatic place to grow Pinot Noir, and the fruit comes out concentrated, bright and firmly built. Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson are based in Marlborough, but they also make small parcels from this inland region. This one is from a single vineyard, fermented with care and matured in French oak: intense but fine, with the structure to age.

Cherry, spice and dark fruit sit on fine tannins. Pour it at 15–16°C with lamb, venison, duck or a mushroom dish, or tuck a bottle away for a few years.
