Blank Canvas Escaroth Chardonnay 1.5L MAGNUM 2021

Blank Canvas Escaroth Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Marlborough Chardonnay in magnum, from a small husband-and-wife label.

The vineyard also supplies the family's Pinot Noir. Cool nights help Chardonnay here hold on to bright natural acidity, and the wine is fermented and matured in French oak for texture and complexity, with the fruit and the site kept in focus. Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson MW choose each of their single vineyards carefully.

Textural and complex, with a fresh line through the middle. In a large-format bottle it will age more slowly than a standard 750ml. Serve at 10–12°C with crayfish, roast pork or chicken.
