Description

Bleasdale Vineyards Frank Potts Cabernet Blend is the winery's flagship red, named after its founder.

Frank Potts arrived in South Australia in the 1830s and settled at Langhorne Creek, where he planted vines and built the winery in 1850. His family still runs Bleasdale today, and this wine honours him with a blend of the Bordeaux varieties the district grows so well. Cabernet Sauvignon leads, supported by Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Red berry and darker fruit are layered and complex, and fine oak tannins give the structure for long ageing.

Decant for an hour if opening young, and serve at around 17 to 18 degrees with rib-eye, braised lamb shoulder or aged cheddar. This is a serious cellaring wine that will reward 10 to 20 years in a good cellar.
