Bleasdale Vineyards The Wise One Tawny is a ten-year-old Langhorne Creek tawny with a nutty, mellow character.

Fortified wine has been part of Bleasdale's story since the winery's early days in the 1800s. This blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Verdelho has matured slowly in small oak casks stored near the winery's hot tin roof, where the warmth speeds up the ageing and concentrates the wine. Over the years it picks up nutty, chocolate and vanilla characters from the barrels and develops a smooth, rich finish.

Pour a small glass slightly below room temperature as an aperitif, or after dinner with walnuts, blue cheese, sticky date pudding or a strong coffee. Once opened it keeps well for several weeks.
