Description

Bodegas Valdemar Valdemoreda Tempranillo is a smooth, fruit-driven Spanish red from a long-established Rioja family winery.

The Martínez Bujanda family trace their winemaking back to 1889 and run Bodegas Valdemar from Oyón, in Rioja Alavesa. Valdemoreda is their easy-drinking Tempranillo, made from younger vineyard blocks and given only a short time in older barrels, so the focus stays on fruit. Ripe red and dark fruit mixes with a light touch of vanilla and caramel spice, and the palate is round, balanced and smooth.

Serve at around 16 degrees. A crowd-pleaser with tapas, chorizo, paella, lamb skewers or a Friday night pizza. Drink young.
