Bodegas Vega Sicilia Unico Reserva Especial Venta 2025

Bodegas Vega Sicilia Unico Reserva Especial Venta is a multi-vintage blend of the estate's flagship red, assembled from library stocks in Ribera del Duero.

Vega Sicilia was founded in 1864 at Valbuena de Duero and has belonged to the Álvarez family since 1982. Unico is made only in years the house judges worthy, from old Tinto Fino vines with a portion of estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, and spends an exceptionally long time in large oak vats and barrels before further years resting in bottle. Reserva Especial takes the idea a step further: rather than bottling a single harvest, the cellar blends several vintages of Unico held back in its reserves, chosen for how they sit together. It carries no vintage on the label, only the year of its release, and the blend changes with each one.

Decant an hour or more ahead and serve at around 17 degrees with roast lamb, game birds or aged Manchego; it can also be cellared for many years.
