Bonnaire Terroirs Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut 375ml NV

Bonnaire Terroirs is an all Chardonnay Champagne from grand cru vineyards around Cramant, offered here in half bottle at brut dosage.

Cramant is a grand cru village of the Côte des Blancs, where a thin topsoil sits directly on deep chalk and Chardonnay ripens slowly, keeping its acidity and taking on the saline quality the slope is known for. The Bonnaire family has been based in the village since the 1930s and farms a little over twenty hectares, the greater part of it Chardonnay in the Côte des Blancs grand crus. Terroirs is the house blanc de blancs, assembled from grand cru parcels rather than from a single village site, made without oak influence, aged on lees in the cellars at Cramant and finished at seven grams per litre.

Chalky but a touch rounder than the extra brut, the half bottle makes an easy aperitif or a partner for oysters and white fish; serve at around nine degrees.
