Description

Borgo Maragliano La Caliera is a Moscato d'Asti from the hills of southern Piedmont.

Moscato d'Asti is fermented only part-way in a sealed tank, which leaves natural sweetness, a gentle fizz and an alcohol level of around five per cent. The grape is Moscato Bianco, grown in these hills for centuries. The appellation requires the lighter, gently sparkling style rather than the fully sparkling Asti Spumante made nearby.

Serve very cold at 7 degrees with fruit tart, panettone or on its own after a meal. Drink within two years of the vintage.
