Brokenwood Indigo Vineyard Pinot Noir 2025

Brokenwood Indigo Vineyard Pinot Noir is a perfumed cool-climate Pinot Noir from Brokenwood's vineyard in Beechworth, north-east Victoria.

Set in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, Beechworth has earned a reputation for fine-boned Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and the Indigo Vineyard is the source of both for Brokenwood. The 2025 includes whole bunches in the ferment for spice and structure, and matures in fine-grained French oak. Medium in density with bright red hues, it offers lifted warm spice, a touch of sandalwood and cherry fruit. The entry is soft and led by forest fruits, with good fruit tannin and a fresh acid backbone carrying through. It drinks well from release and will develop more complexity with bottle age.

Try it with seared duck, a beetroot and goat's cheese salad, or a simple roast of lamb. Serve at around 14 to 16 degrees, slightly below room temperature.
