Brokenwood Pinot Noir 2025

Brokenwood Pinot Noir is a bright, approachable Pinot Noir with red fruit and whole-bunch spice.

Sitting below the Indigo Vineyard bottling in the range, this Pinot Noir is made for earlier drinking while following similar winemaking principles. Fruit is drawn mainly from Beechworth in north-east Victoria, and whole bunches are included in the ferment to add spice and lift, with French oak playing a supporting role. The 2025 shows medium density and bright red hues, with lifted bramble and red cherry on the nose, then bright red fruits on the palate. Ripe tannins and a fresh acid backbone carry the flavours to the finish, and a lingering tang makes it a very easy wine to enjoy.

Serve a little below room temperature, around 14 to 16 degrees. It works well with charcuterie, mushroom pizza, seared tuna or roast chicken.
