Brokenwood Semillon 2025

Brokenwood Semillon is a classic early-release Hunter Valley Semillon, bottled young for freshness.

Hunter Semillon is one of Australia's truly distinctive wine styles, and Brokenwood has been making it at Pokolbin since the 1970s. Made without oak, it lets the pure varietal character come through, with bright natural acidity as its backbone. The 2025 is luminous in the glass with plenty of green tints, and floral and apple-blossom aromas lead into mouth-filling lime juice, green apple and lemon pith. The refreshing acidity keeps it lively, and the flavours linger for quite some time, much like the 2024. Delicious now, it also has the structure to develop the toasty complexity for which aged Hunter Semillon is famous.

Serve it well chilled with oysters, grilled whiting, a fresh prawn salad or sushi.
