Description
Bruno Rocca Barbera d'Alba is made from the everyday red grape of Piedmont, grown on Barbaresco land.
Barbera has high natural acidity and low tannin, which makes it a food wine first and foremost, and when it is planted on hillsides good enough for Nebbiolo it gains a depth the variety rarely shows elsewhere. The estate's vineyards lie around Rabajà in the Barbaresco zone. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak for a short period.
Serve at 16 degrees with rich pasta, veal or roast pork. Drink over the next six years.
