Bubb + Pooley Pinot Noir 2024

Bubb + Pooley Pinot Noir is a Tasmanian Pinot Noir from a small family label working in the island's cool south.

Bubb + Pooley is the Tasmanian label of winemaker Anna Pooley and her partner Justin Bubb, working alongside the family's Pooley Wines in southern Tasmania. Pinot Noir is Tasmania's signature red grape, and the island's cool maritime climate, long daylight hours and slow ripening give it the fine tannin and bright acidity the variety needs. Tasmanian Pinot Noir is typically fermented in small open vats with gentle extraction and matured in French oak barrel, with new oak kept in check so that the fruit and site come through. The wine is bottled under screwcap.

Fine and fragrant, it suits duck, mushroom dishes and salmon; serve slightly cool at around 15 degrees.
