Burton McMahon D'Aloisio Chardonnay 2023

Burton McMahon D'Aloisio Chardonnay is a single-vineyard wine from the Upper Yarra Valley.

The Upper Yarra sits higher and cooler than the valley floor, on grey loam over clay, which gives Chardonnay a late harvest and a taut, linear shape. The label works vineyard by vineyard rather than blending across the region, which is why the grower's name appears on the bottle. The wine is whole-bunch pressed, fermented with wild yeast in barrel and matured on lees.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, fish or a soft cheese. It develops over seven years.
