Description

Vecchio Amaro del Capo is the herbal amaro of Calabria, at 35% alcohol.

The Caffo family distillery makes it at Limbadi in Calabria, at the toe of Italy, and it is named after the nearby Capo Vaticano. The recipe uses twenty-nine local herbs, flowers, fruits and roots, including bitter orange, liquorice, mint and chamomile. It is one of the best-selling amari in Italy.

Traditionally kept in the freezer and served ice cold in a small glass after dinner.
