Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino 1.5L MAGNUM 2020

Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino is the estate's younger Sangiovese, released years before its Brunello.

Rosso di Montalcino uses the same grape and the same hillsides as Brunello but requires only one year of ageing, which gives a fresher, more immediate wine and lets the estate declassify fruit in weaker years. The vineyards lie in the Canalicchio district on the north side of the hill. Fermentation is with native yeast, with ageing in large oak casks.

Serve at 16 degrees with pasta, grilled meats or pecorino. Drink over the next eight years.
