Description

Cascina Penna-Currado Carrà is a single-vineyard Barbera d'Alba from the Piedmontese hills.

Barbera carries high natural acidity and low tannin, which makes it the everyday food wine of Piedmont, and planting it on good hillside ground gives it a depth the variety rarely shows. Carrà is the named site. The wine is fermented in stainless steel with a period in oak before bottling.

Serve at 16 degrees with rich pasta, veal or roast pork. Drink over the next six years.
