Description

Cascina Penna-Currado San Sebastiano Superiore is a Nebbiolo d'Alba given extended ageing before release.

The Superiore designation requires longer maturation than the standard appellation wine, which suits Nebbiolo's firm tannin and high acidity. The fruit comes from the San Sebastiano vineyard in the hills around Alba, on sandy soils that give the variety a slightly gentler frame than the Barolo communes.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, veal or aged cheese. It develops over a decade.
