Catalina Sounds Sound of White Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Catalina Sounds Sound of White Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc is the estate's textural take on the variety.

Fermenting Sauvignon Blanc in barrel rather than tank trades some of Marlborough's aromatic punch for weight and length, closer to a white Bordeaux in approach. The fruit comes from the estate's Sound of White vineyard in the Waihopai Valley, planted in 2005 at around 200 metres. Winemaker Matthew Ward has built the range around that textural idea.

Serve at 11 degrees with roast fish, chicken or a creamy risotto. Drink over the next five years.
